Freeman-ASIA: Awards for Study in Asia

The Freeman-ASIA program is open to undergraduate students who wish to study in Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Laos, Macao, Korea, Malaysia, Mongolia, Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore, and Vietnam.  Fall, Spring, and Summer cycles.

National Security Education Program (NSEP): David L. Boren Undergraduate Scholarships

John E. Bowman Travel Grants

Bowman Travel Grants are open to US citizens and permanent residents who are participating in a CIEE study abroad program.  The applicant must attend a CIEE member or CIEE academic consortium member institution (explore the above link to determine if you are eligible) and must plan to study in a non-traditional destination.  Regions currently eligible include Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, and Latin America.  These awards are usually made in the amount of $500 or $1,000 and are issued directly to the student, after all other program fees have been paid, to help defray the cost of travel.
